Pack waterproof trekking layers, broken-in hiking boots, gaiters or long socks, gloves for forest vegetation, warm layers for mountain mornings, insect repellent and smart-casual clothing for Kigali or lodge evenings.

Build the itinerary around the main experience rather than rushing through Nyungwe National Park. Pair it with Lake Kivu, Gisenyi, and Kigali for better pacing, and verify seasonal access, activity availability and client fitness requirements before confirmation.
