Depending on your arrival time, you can opt for a city tour of Entebbe, exploring historical sites like the botanical gardens or Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. The name "Entebbe," meaning "the chair" in Luganda, is reflective of its colonial past.
Start your adventure with a scenic drive to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will track the country’s only rhinos, followed by a visit to the sanctuary's information center. After a leisurely lunch, continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the evening. If time permits, enjoy a stop at the top of the falls.
Begin the day with an early morning game drive to spot iconic wildlife including elephants, giraffes, lions, and leopards. In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari along the Victoria Nile, where you can see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. The boat ride concludes near the base of the roaring Murchison Falls.
Drive south through Hoima and Fort Portal, passing lush tea plantations. Fort Portal lies beneath the majestic Rwenzori Mountains, often referred to as the "Mountains of the Moon." Enjoy a break at one of the plantations before continuing to your accommodation near Kibale Forest.
