The long rains usually fall around March to May, while the dry season is generally from June to October. Forest and mountain activities can be wet, cool and slippery even in the preferred trekking months.

Pack neutral safari clothing, a fleece or jacket for highland mornings, sun protection, binoculars, camera gear and personal medication. Soft-sided luggage is recommended for fly-in safaris and internal flights.
